Do you only buy flagship phones?

I only buy flagship when they are a year or two old so I can get a discount lol

I have a friend that buys the latest Samsung Galaxy EVERY YEAR even though he cannot really afford to be doing this. Those phones are not cheap and I think it is crazy how some people must have the latest phone. Maybe I am just not hooked on my phone enough to care?

So for me, if I do get a flagship, I buy them when they are considered old. Right now I have the FE edition of the S20 and it is more than enough for me

I do and while I do buy them new, I do not get them every year.

I will get a new phone only when I have to so once every 3 or 4 years usually. It seems like they make these phones slow down a lot after the first two years!

Not only or always. If I can afford to buy one, I prefer it just for better camera quality but it seems like certain aspects of the camera phones have stalled or moved in reverse. Like my old S7 takes pictures easily of moving objects without blurring but my s10 struggled with it. I never owned an iphone so I don't know if their cameras are better or not. I would like to get S22+ in the near future but the prices have to come down a bit more first.

I prefer them because I know they have better software and features but I have only ever had 2 flagship phones in my life. They are just too expensive. I can't justify spending more money on a phone than a computer. I just can't do it.

No, I get whatever is best in my price range. I can't say I ever even owned a flagship phone, maybe back in the day I did but they did not really call them that back then.

I have bounced around a few of them. I tried Apple, Samsung, the bunch. I find that of the flagship phones, I tend to like the Galaxy most but they are just too expensive now. Even with a payment plan, you end up paying so much more on top of that. So I stopped buying flagship anything.

I do but not yearly. I get a new phone every 3 years unless I am having issues I will get one sooner. I get the new Galaxy flagship when I do and always the plus version since I want a bigger screen. I don't do the Ultra ones. I don't need all that on my phone.

This is the best way if you want to get a pricey phone. it is almost a waste to get a new phone every 1 or 2 years, especially since the upgrades and features aren't worth it each release.

I prefer to but they have gotten too expensive for me so I get the secondary phones. The more affordable ones. Not as good with features but still plenty for your money. I don't want to spend more money than I would spend on a gaming console on a phone.

If I could afford it I would get a new flagship every year. Is it wasteful? Probably but I just like having the latest tech. At least the tech that I am interested in. I don't buy them every year though and I can't always afford the flagship phones at launch.

With how tech is now, it seems like you don't get a major upgrade to justify the price but maybe every 3 or 4 years. Like you can compare the older models and see where the improvement jumps up enough the justify the cost.
