I was thinking about this last night. I used to want things entirely different to what I want now. Like I value more land and less house these days. I would take a small 2 bedroom house with a massive yard over a massive house with nothing of a yard. I like spending time outdoors and I know if I had a yard to actually do stuff in, I would be outside way more often. So for me, my ideal dream house would be something that is moderate size with no work needed and a big yard that offers open areas to do stuff in.
What is your ideal "dream house"?

I am like you, I would take a larger yard and a smaller house than the other way around. My only concern with that would be managing upkeep which can be a nightmare depending on the type of yard. If I could afford to buy a house though, I would likely be able to afford for maintenance. -
I feel this. No one told me growing up that I would have to pray for a house. It seems like something so rare for people my age especially. Which never used to be the case. I am going to be 30 and should have my own house but I don't. I am stuck renting. It sucks.👍 1Comment

I would like a modern cottage that has a nice open yard, almost a farm like setup. Something I can raise chickens in as well as grow veg in. The house itself, it would be wood floors, 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, and have lots of storage areas.Comment

It is a problem in so many countries right now too. All the problems we are seeing are happening in various places around the world. I have a family member in AU for example that has said the average house that costs $1.5 million would cost $350k in the US in some areas. It is crazy!😞 1Comment

Similar in the UK. A very small house with a very small garden will cost you a lot. I know someone that recently bought his first home with his wife and it is nothing special. It is attached to other housing and it cost them half a mil. The garden area is just maybe 10 steps back away from the house.

by PixelThis spending review is a massive deal. It's a massive deal because of the sums of money and capital the government is about to allocate - £600bn over the next three to four years.
