I am sure everyone here had heard of this by now. It has been a massive disaster! The AI system is basically a radical activist that is racist and makes things up! It legit will fabricate stories that never happened and is accusing public figures of all sorts of crimes including child endangerment! It even defends pedophilia! I am just mind blown that Google green-lit this disaster. It was giving people pictures of African and Asian nazis and making extremely racist depictions of black people.

The guy behind the system who ran it is a racist as well, a self-hating white guy who openly despises white people, capitalism, and sounds like a communist honestly. They really messed up with this one. It is bad.

It is a nightmare. I have seen some pictures and just could not believe Google was behind this project. They made themselves look terrible. I just can't support a company that believes this level of racism is okay. No way.

I will not be posting any of those though, they are a bit to spicy for me to feel comfortable sharing. Even if the AI did it themselves. Crazy how a company this massive can fail at something so bad.

I am a bit late to this but I did hear some people are planning on suing Google over it which is crazy.

I do think companies that are this massive and have this much control should be broken up or some laws need to be put in place to protect us.

Google is a mess and has been since the early 00's but most people have not noticed. I still remember in the late '90s when Apple was on the verge of bankruptcy and complete collapse and look at them now.

This won't impact them at all, sadly. They have too much power and money. They would need a massive hit from a competitor to change away from any of the bad things they are doing.

A lot of AI systems have issues with factual data because the internet is filled with lies, rumors, opinions, and studies that back both sides of the same claim. I don't know how anyone can actually fix this.

I think all this AI stuff is going to end up getting out of hand somewhere. They can't ban it at this point. It is here to stay. Best case is people use it as a tool, worst case it is used to replace real people and skills.

You are probably right. I can't see anyway this is undone. People have mentioned making a separate internet but I don't know what even goes into that.
