Are there any earbuds that can be used for gaming?

I have a few headsets and they are find but I can't wear them very long as I am prone to migraines. Earbuds are far more comfortable for me but I can't think of any that could pair with an Xbox and function, especially if I want to use the mic feature. I am wondering if anyone knows of an option out there I may have overlooked.

There are options but a lot of them get very mixed reviews. The only ones I would recommend for gaming would be the Turtle Beach Battle Buds which work fine IMO. I have a pair myself and use them when I don't want the full headset. They also have a wireless Recon Air series but those seem to be very hit or miss. I originally got that myself and returned it due to connection issues. VersionTECH also has gaming earbuds BUT I am not sure they work with the newest consoles.

Avoid those at all costs! I made the mistake of thinking they would be good and was unable to return them. They not only do not keep a charge very long but they connect and disconnect all the time whilst gaming! I absolutely hate them.

There are a lot of options but I find that the bluetooth ones are very miss and seldom hit. Most of them function better for PC gaming and have issues with consoles. I wish Xbox, Switch, and PS would just make their own and give price options for people. Like have an affordable option, a mid-range option, and a premium option. I don't always enjoy wearing a headset but have not found earbuds that work good enough to move away from them.

I have heard and read similar. I am not even sure why I bothered trying them. I wanted to like them cause it was exactly what I was looking for, if only they actually functioned as intended. 🙄

I wonder if this has to do with the connectivity. Maybe they will improve upon them with the newer consoles. I know the older ones had decent options but Microsoft and PlayStation both have been cracking down on 3rd party stuff making it harder for even partnered brands to configure devices.

I think most earbuds just don't do well. At least in my experience. But not all headsets are created equal either. I go a set from Razer that was far more expensive than they should have been cause I have to deal with constant echoing I can't even use them for chat. I am going to see if I can return them.
