I have just started playing this game and I just wanted to give it a mention here.

It is a cross between pokemon, base builder and a shooter and in my eyes it has lived up to the hype.

Looking at the Steam stats page it has topped the charts on the player count. That in itself to get CS2 from first place is a triumph.

I was going to ask if anyone here had played it. I was on the fence with it. Having loved Pokemon games all my life, it did catch my eye. I have not liked any of the newer Pokemon games though. Sun/Moon was okay but I have not played anything since. Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire was the last game I really enjoyed.

I might have to give this a try. I am not sure if I want to pay for a game still in beta though!

It is free on Xbox if you have Game Pass. I ended up trying it out and really am enjoying it. If you like Pokemon but want a more "adult" experience, that this is a great game for you. It feels like it is designed to appeal to teens and adults whereas Pokemon is meant to appeal to some teens and mostly kids under the age of 12.

I started playing it and I am hooked! It is similar to Ark but without all the annoying stuff. They have something for everyone I feel no matter the age but the adult humor is a bit... Much at times LOL I don't care, I think this is may favorite game I have played in ages in terms of free games.

Though I know it is not free, it is on game pass. I will be buying it when it leaves for sure!

I was not sure about it at first. Like I wasn't really feeling it but the more I played it, the more I enjoyed it.

One thing though, if you play with another person or other players in general, there is a lot of lag which I am hoping they do fix.

Everyone has been talking about it so much that I decided to try it and it is not bad. It mostly reminds me of like a mix of Ark, Minecraft and Pokemon. I have not gotten very far. I am too knit-picky about my base atm. I actually started over because I didn't like my first one lol

The raids that randomly happen are a nice touch.

I second on the base building overkill. I think I have spent most of my time on the game building rather than catching the Pals but I do have a theory about the madness. Ones I get a big base going with all the bits for production all I will need to do is then go out and catch till I find the best suited for each job.

I only just started playing it last night. I was not sure what to expect. I was playing with a friend and he randomly goes "why does this game make me feel like we are playing commies?" and I lost it laughing. It is legit all about production lines and getting the best "workers" 🤣😂

Is anyone else having issues with the game not being able to save? I keep getting that error. I restart the game and it works fine for like 5 minutes and then it does it again making it impossible to play. Every fix I have seen was for PC only and it seems like these fixes don't always work either way.

Have not played so I have no personal experience here but I can tell you that other people have the same complaint. A friend of mine was having this issue. He ended up solving it or at least making it stop for a bit by pressing the xbox button and going home and then going back into the game. It is not a solution but it makes the error/issue happen less.

Everyone I talk to online keeps going on and on about it. I have not played it yet. I mean for me it looks boring but that could be a completely different experience if I were to be playing it. If it is a lot like Pokemon, I probably won't like it.

I am having fun with it. My sister actually got me playing lol

I am having trouble though figuring out the types and stuff. Like which is best against what. It doesn't seem as straight forward as Pokemon. Is there a list or something I can reference for this?

I did end up finding out it was free to play... DOH! lol

So I have since played the game and I am enjoying it but I have had to restart a couple times due to bugs and stuff. That is kind of annoying but I also wanted to tweak the server. I changed a few things like making the stamina last longer and have leveling up come a bit faster, nothing too crazy but since I don't have hours to invest in the game I thought it would help me enjoy it more.

I was having issues with the game crashing again so I ended up starting a new save and this time I am focusing more on keeping things organized. Like to level up the base I will keep all the stuff I will eventually get rid of in one area away from stuff I plan on keeping.

Apparently the player base of the game died off a lot. I am not shocked by this because most people that "beat" a game move on from it. While this game has replay value not a lot of players will stick around for it. I am hoping they keep at it and add more to the game and eventually get it out of beta.
