Ukraine to buy 100 fighter jets from France in bid to create 'one of the greatest' air defences in the world
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a letter of intent with France to obtain 100 Rafale fighter jets as he seeks to bolster the country's long-term air defence capacity against Russia.
The UK has not agreed to allow the US to launch air strikes against Iran from a British base on Diego Garcia and another in Gloucestershire, it is understood.
