Just getting into drones

So I ended up getting a drone for Christmas, for myself. Got a bonus at work and wanted to treat myself. I love the thing but had no idea there were sports, racing, etc. involved with drones! I always thought that was something people did with boats and cars. I wanted to join a community to learn more about that as well as drones in general. I am already getting more comfortable flying mine. I got the DJI mini 3.

I actually joined because of a similar reason. My older brother's new hobby is drones and after flying his, I kind of wanted to get my own and get into all aspects of frying including racing. It is something my bother is going to be doing for the first time in April. He joined some local event, massive first prize of 10k too!

It is very small and lightweight so yeah, I would say it is good for beginners. I just use my spare phone for the screen and everything synced up fine. The major downside is it only gets about 30 min tops on a full charge but I think this is standard for cheaper drones.

I was going to ask about that next. I see they have two options and the one without the screen where you need to use a phone is cheaper. Thanks for the information! I am going to shop around and see if I can find one on sale.
