Building an RC Car from Drone Parts:

    Hey folks,
I recently put together my own 5-inch freestyle quad and ended up with a box full of old drone parts from a friend who's been out of the hobby for a while. Most of these parts aren't ideal for modern quads, so I got new components. However, I still have this box with motors, ESCs, two Naze32 FCs, an old Turnigy T9, two receiver units, lots of capacitors, and cables.
I'm wondering if I can use these parts to build an RC car. If so, what else do I need? Is there something like a Flight Controller for RC Cars, essentially a "cruise controller"?

You can repurpose the flight controller as a semi-dumb receiver-to-PWM translator to control a steering servo and an ESC. Although drone ESCs aren't optimal for cars, with a drivetrain accommodating some slack to compensate for starting torque issues, it should work.
