How do I go about finding out what RC makes and models I have?

As I mentioned in my intro thread, I recently was thrifting and found some really not RC vehicles that were priced great. They all work but I am not sure what exactly I have or what they are able to do. I know some models are designed to handle more terrain, water, etc.

How do I go about figuring out the makes and models of the RC vehicles I bought secondhand?
