Hey everyone! I'm seriously considering getting myself an HPI Baja 5B model car. Any owners here who can share their experiences with it? I'm particularly interested in how it handles and its overall performance. Any thoughts or advice would be fantastic!

Hey there! Absolutely, I've got a Baja 5B and it's been an exhilarating ride, to say the least! This thing is a beast – running on gas, it's a 1/5th scale RC car that dominates off-road terrain like it's a walk in the park. The performance? It's top-notch. The engine's got plenty of power, and the sturdy build handles all sorts of challenging surfaces like a champ. Jumps, bumps, you name it - it takes them in stride!👍 1 -
Wow, that sounds incredible! But what about maintenance and its durability? Is it easy to keep in good shape, and does it hold up well over time?

Maintenance-wise, it's surprisingly easy to manage. Regular cleaning and keeping an eye out for any loose parts are pretty much the routine. As for durability, this thing is built tough. However, after some intense runs, a quick check-up is always a good idea to keep it in prime condition. But overall, it's a tank!😀 1Comment

That's reassuring to hear! Are there any upgrades or modifications you've explored to further enhance its performance?Comment

Oh, absolutely! The world of aftermarket parts is vast. Upgrading shocks for better handling or adding a tuned pipe to amp up the power are common upgrades. It really depends on what areas you want to boost. There's a lot you can do to tailor it to your preferences.Comment

That's really good to know! Speaking of preferences, how user-friendly is it for someone just starting out with this type of RC car?Comment

It can be a bit of a handful for complete beginners, I won't lie. But with a bit of practice, you'll get the hang of it. Start slow, get accustomed to its handling, and you'll be tearing up the tracks in no time!Comment

If you do get your hands on one, take it easy at first and get to know the workings of the model. The fun comes naturally once you get comfortable with it. Enjoy the ride!👍 1Comment

I have a HPI Baja 5B and You will not be disappointed with it. I do have to note that it can be a bit tiresome when it comes to dismantling it for maintenance but other than that it is the best RC car I have ever owned so far.
