I was not aware of them doing this shield stuff before either myself. I think those other concepts are new though right? Earning the extra perks or whatever?

The game is considered 13+ I believe. That being said, it is not as bad as games were when I was growing up that had less of a rating. I think so long as he is playing with you and you guys keep the chat muted, you should be fine. The game isn't extremely violent despite it being a shooter.
I only just started playing this and feel so late to the party! I played the yearly COD games and after last year's release, I was fed up. Well, not last year's I mean the one that came out in 2022. I was looking for a new online FPS game and thought this was like Fortnite and I would hate it but I love it! I am also looking into playing the Finals. Not sure if that is something I will enjoy cause people say it is more complex.
Oh! I didn't know about this. I was reading about the changes in the latest season update when it dropped and now that I have played it for a few days, I think it is a good update. I feel the matches are more balanced which is something I had complained about before. I was getting matched up with people that were either WAY worse than me or people that ran circles around me.
The armor thing I like and prefer. I have to worry less about finding something which helps. I can focus on bags and guns attachments.

Prior to this, I would have said the best free game was Warframe but I had gotten so bored with it. I played it way too much. Fortnite... I know a lot of people love it but I just couldn't enjoy it enough. I played it a bit when it was still new and lost interest.
I think the building aspect and the general crowd it attracts just put me off. On Apex, it is mostly older teens and adults with some kids. Fortnite seems like it is 10 to 15 years olds mostly.

I didn't know this was a free game. I never looked into it cause I just assumed it was something you pay for. If you don't have to pay for anything other than cosmetics, I might check it out as well.

Did you like it? A lot of people will recommend the 301 paired with a peacekepper (shotgun), re-45, or an alternator. If you want to go with an energy gun, stick with the volt. The other ones are very hard to manage if you are new to the game. In terms of heavy ammo guns, the flatline is a good gun.

Yeah, actually. I was playing around in different modes and I like them all really. It seems like you really have to be paired with good players though. I will check out these guns specifically tonight. I do like the RE-45 when I have the attachments for it.
Ended up playing it last weekend and throughout the week. I already made a friend. haha
This random guy I was playing with, we partied up and had a blast together. We played more last night.
That is great. I miss being able to do this. Had not happened in a long time. Last time this happened I was just randomly playing with someone in CoD zombies and ended up having stuff in common with him and I played with him and his girlfriend for quite awhile after that.
