    Pokémon Legends: Z-A Announced

So this felt like it was sprung on us out of nowhere! But I don't exactly follow the news for it. I will post the trailer below:

I was not thinking anything of this until I realized they are going back to the X and Y locations and... Then I realized, these were the games that introduced Megas! They are bringing them back FINALLY! Part of the reason I stopped playing was because they got rid of them. I like to play competitive so I am super excited for this. They will also have multi-player features outside of battles and just playing the story. Super cool stuff!

I stopped buying the games for a similar reason. The megas were part of competitive in a big way and I played tournaments on other forums. Once they removed them and tried all that other weird stuff, I just stopped having any interest.

I always loved Pokemon! I grew up with it and still enjoy playing the games, even the older ones. I should say especially the older ones. I am excited for this title. I was a bit disappointed with the last one.

This is sounding good but I want to see some video of it first before I decide. The last several were way too hand-holdy for me so I didn't even bother playing them. I am hoping they release this game to have some sort of difficulty setting and some sort of smarter NPC set up so adult fans can feel challenged.

I am keeping an eye on it. I would have to get another Switch to play it. I had an accident with mine and needless to say, it does not work. To fix it, it would end up costing half the price of just buying a new one.

Same for me. I want to know what they are making different with this one. I have wanted them to do a Pokemon Z to follow X and Y for a while now and the fact that they are finally doing it is exciting.

Having grown up with the card game and the anime, I still have a sweet spot for Pokemon.

I have not played the games since Alpha Sapphire though. Not sure if this would be worth getting for me. I heard online competitive is fun though.

I think I may end up getting this one. I haven't gotten the last few. Sort of just felt burnt out on it and the genre but I think Pal World kind of made me more interested in it again.

A lot of adult fans have said the same that the games have gotten too hand-holdy and simple. A lot of the newer features are geared toward kids which is fully understandable but I am hoping there is less of that in this one.

Same for me. Palworld got me interested in Pokemon again. Strange how that happened. I want to wait and see what the game looks like and see what sorts of features it will have but I am planning on, as of now, getting it when it releases.

Who do you think the starters will end up being? I see some theories floating around. Seeing as this is a Legends title, I am assuming we are not going to be getting new starters with this one.

From what I gathered, this will be a pre-X,Y game so it happens before those games. You essentially will be helping build the city it would seem which is an interesting concept they never did before I don't think.

Oh okay that makes more sense given what the trailer shows. I was not sure what to expect in terms of this. I guess it also makes sense because it is a Legends title and not a standard one. Legends implies we are going back in time.

Would be cool if they made an option for older players to make the game harder and forced you to have to put more effort into things. I know you can make the game harder for yourself by using type weaknesses and not evolving anything but I mean beyond that.

So this is going to happen prior to the other games. I think it is interesting how they go to the past to try to refresh the brand. I can't say I have been very interested in Pokemon in recent years but this could change it, who knows.
